Welcoming Future Medical Professionals
On August 27th, Jaseng Medical Academy had the pleasure of hosting 15 students from China Medical University (CMU), Taiwan for a special half-day clinical training. Faculty members from both CMU and Kyung Hee University also joined the program, creating a meaningful opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences in both Traditional and Integrative Medicine.
This even marked the first joint program between CMU and Jaseng Medical Academy following the signing of our MOU earlier this year. Although it was a short visit, we were delighted to host such passionate and enthusiastic students, whose genuine interest in medicine made the visits even more memorable.

Learning Across Borders
The training began with a brief introduction to Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine, followed by a guided hospital tour led by the Academy team. During the tour, students were introduced to various treatment approaches, including how different herbal extract vials with Pharmacopuncture are used to treat specific pains and symptoms. The tour concluded with a tasting session, where students had the opportunity to experience Jaseng's herbal medicine firsthand.
After the tour, the students had the chance to meet online with the Dean of CMU, which added a meaningful highlight to their visit. Following this special online meeting, they attended a lecture session on Jaseng's unique integrative treatment methods, focusing particularly on Phamacopuncture and MSAT (Motion Style Acupuncture Treatment). The session included not only lectures but also live demonstrations of each treatment.
Students showed great enthusiasm by actively participating in the demonstrations, even trying out treatments such as Pharmacopuncture and MSAT themselves. After receiving treatments from our skilled Korean Medicine doctor, several students shared their experiences, noting that they could genuinely feel relief in areas where they had pain or muscle tension.

Building Lasting Connection
Throughout the session, students and professors from Taiwan actively participated, sharing their insights and perspectives. This lively exchange emphasized the importance of cross-cultural medical collaboration and the growing global interest in integrative approaches to patient care.
During the half-day clinical training, participants compared their prior knowledge with what they observed in Korean Medicine. Since both systems share the same roots in Traditional Medicine, there were many familiar aspects - from the names of acu-points to the ingredients of herbal medicines and the methods of treatment. These commonalities made the experience even more meaningful for everyone involved.
We hope that today's program not only offered valuable clinical learning for the students but also strengthened academic ties between Jaseng Medical Academy, CMU and Kyung Hee University. We look forward to building on this foundation through future collaboration and to welcoming more international students who are eager to experience Korean Medicine in practice.
