At the conclusion of the session, learners should be able to:

1. Review long-term data on the safety and effectiveness of opioid vs nonopioid treatment to reduce pain and improve function in chronic pain.

2. Understand the context and reasoning behind comparison of opioid vs nonopioid treatment through brief review of the history of the opioid epidemic
and strategies for pain medicine.

3. Assess the strengths and limitations of use of pragmatic clinical trials and medication prescribing algorithm strategies as opposed to fixed medication and dosages.

You are not eligible for a refund if you’ve completed 50% or more of the course, earned a course certificate, or 14 days have passed since your payment.
