Learning Objectives

CME Credits

In this CME session, we will explore the pharmacological foundations of local anesthetics, focusing on their definition, history, classification, and chemical structure. Building on this foundation, we will examine key pharmacologic principles that underpin their clinical use.

The session will also cover the pharmacokinetics of local anesthetics, with particular emphasis on their lifecycle, including absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion. By integrating fundamental pharmacologic concepts with clinical perspectives, participants will gain a clearer understanding of safe and effective use of local anesthetics in clinical practice.
At the conclusion of the session, learners should be able to:

1. Enhance core competency by deepening medical knowledge of local anesthetics, including their mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics, and systemic toxicity.

2. Improve clinical performance and safety in acupoint anesthesia by studying the fundamental principles and clinical applications of conventional anesthesia.

3. Foster advanced clinical practice by integrating medical knowledge across different specialties—Anesthesiology and Korean Medicine—through interdisciplinary learning.

If you paid for an individual course and it is not what you were expecting, you can request a refund within 14 days of your payment. You are not eligible for a refund if you’ve completed 50% or more of the course, earned a course certificate, or 14 days have passed since your payment.
